Chocolate Mug Cakes

This summer I'd been perfecting my version of mug cakes.  I must admit, I couldn't really follow any baking instructions.  No matter how hard I tried carefully measuring the ingredients, somehow I always fail the outcome.  "Oh well! Since I love experiments on cooking, I might as well make an experiment in baking."  I told myself.

I have no skills at all in baking, so I tried the easy-to-bake cakes a.k.a. mug cakes.  With a lot of patience and determination, then after several trials...I've got my perfect Chocolate Mug Cakes.

Baking mug cake is as easy as 1-2-3! Mix, set, and bake.

2 tbs All Purpose flour

3 tbs Sweetened Cocoa powder (Hershey's)

1 tps Baking powder

1 tbs Sugar

3 tbs Fresh milk

2 tbs Canola oil

1 Fresh egg (medium sized)

  1. MIX.  In a mixing bowl, combine all ingredients and mix thoroughly until no lumps.
  2. SET.  Grease the microwavable mugs using butter or canola oil and pour the choco batter.  Make sure the mugs are only half filled.
  3. BAKE.  Put the mugs in the microwave and bake for 2 minutes & 30 seconds (highest temp.)

Makes 2 servings.

Tip:  You can make other varieties on this basic chocolate mug cake.  For example, if you want it to be banana choco mug cake; just add one banana and thoroughly mashed it, then add it to the batter.
